One-time purchase

Vault Foundations offers one named person permanent 1.x use, including all 1.x updates released, across their authorized devices and vaults. Later major upgrades are optional. There is no automatic subscription or renewal charge. The product does not promise indefinite support, hosting or future compatibility.

The one-time USD catalog price is $5.70 for eligible founders and $8.92 otherwise, before applicable tax. These are product prices before tax, not a base price plus an undisclosed processing fee. The authorized checkout displays the merchant of record, currency, tax and final total before payment. Eligibility and the final quoted total govern the order. Local-currency presentment may differ; the checkout discloses it before payment.

Founders window

The founders countdown begins only when Obsidian formally accepts Vault Foundations into Community Plugins, using three UTC calendar months from that verified acceptance. We will publish the exact start and cutoff timestamps. Payment-provider approval, portal launch, downloads, sign-in and enrollment do not start it. Founders pricing remains available while acceptance/cutoff is pending once purchases are enabled. An original trial started before the cutoff retains founders pricing through the later of the cutoff or that original 30-day trial deadline. An already-open, server-created checkout retains its quoted price if completed later.

Trial and safe fallback

The ordinary evaluation is one fixed 30-day trial per account, beginning only with explicit activation after sign-in and acceptance of the presented terms. Downloading or signing in does not start it. Reinstalling, changing devices/vaults, reconnecting or accepting revised terms does not restart it.

Online activation and periodic checks are required. A signed offline allowance lasts up to 24 hours after a successful check, never beyond the applicable individual deadline. No unsigned access is created during an outage. Purchased 1.x proofs have no recurring renewal expiry. Account recovery after losing a proof requires connectivity and reasonable verification.

Expiry pauses new paid navigation upkeep. Original notes, existing generated pages, annotations, ordinary links, editing, Free filtering, performance controls and recovery remain available. No remote wipe is authorized. The license, privacy, support and sales provisions remain applicable.

Refunds and disputes

All sales are final. We do not offer discretionary refunds, including change-of-mind refunds. Use the 30-day trial to evaluate compatibility, performance and suitability before purchasing. This policy does not limit any refund or other remedy required by law or payment-provider obligations/authority.

Stripe Managed Payments is the selected merchant-of-record integration for enabled checkout transactions. Applicable checkout buyer terms and Stripe's transaction-support/refund process govern covered transactions; our policy does not limit Stripe's refund authority or mandatory legal remedies. Contact us for product problems, incorrect charges, purchase/license corrections or mandatory remedies. A provider or legally required refund/reversal can affect future paid issuance under the license; an already-issued permanent offline proof cannot be reliably recalled. Notes, editing and Free protections remain unaffected.

Keep independent backups of your vault, notes and configuration and verify a restore before automation, exclusion/output-location changes or updates.

Version timing, continuing support and optional upgrades

There is no fixed interval between major releases and no guaranteed minimum time before the next major version. A new major version may arrive sooner or later than expected. We continue to support 1.x under this Support policy when a later major version is released; introducing 2.0 does not itself end 1.x support or shorten an existing permanent 1.x license.

Your purchase includes the 1.x updates that we release. Future major versions are optional separate upgrades and may have different prices, features and terms, disclosed before purchase. You are not required to buy a new major version to retain your existing 1.x rights. Any later change in support scope will be communicated through updated product documentation, while preserving accepted license rights and applicable requirements. This is not a promise to release updates on a fixed schedule or to support every future host version.
